Kashmir is a part of the
northernmost state of India, Jammu and Kashmir.
The state Jammu and Kashmir is basically divided into three main regions the
foothill plains of Jammu,
lakes and valleys of Kashmir
and the high altitude plains and starkly beautiful mountains of Ladakh. Kashmir is the
most beautiful part of it. Kashmir Valley is one of
the most beautiful and popular tourist regions. A spell on a houseboat on
Dal Lake has always been one of India's real treats and Kashmir also offers
some delightful trekking opportunities and unsurpassed scenery. Srinagar is
the capital of Jammu and Kashmir which is situated in Kashmir region. Jammu
is called as the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.

northern part of India, Jammu & Kashmir is the essence of everything that is
Indian - its culture, history, tradition, people, and natural splendor.
Jammu and Kashmir is bordered by Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan from West
to East. From South to East, the boundary of the state touches Punjab and
Himachal. The state extends between the latitudes 32°17¢N to 36°58’N and
longitudes 37°26¢E to 80°30¢E.
